ABOUT US

 

Hello! My name is Thei, and I am one of the founders of Keyces NZ, as well as the head seamstress. My journey has been quite unique, and I want to share a little bit about myself and the passion that drives our beautiful collection of handmade scrunchies, hair clips and hair bows.

Before diving into the world of fashion, I spent many years as a primary teacher in the Philippines. Education has always been a significant part of my life, and I pursued a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education here in New Zealand. With 16 years of experience in teaching, I have always believed in the power of creativity and self-expression, both in the ECE environment and beyond.

However, life took an unexpected turn when I suffered a stroke that left half of my body paralyzed. It was a challenging time, but I am proud to say that I have made significant progress and can now walk again. While my right arm is still not fully functional, I have found ways to adapt and continue doing what I love. Each scrunchie I create is made with one hand, infused with dedication, hard work, love, and passion.

At Keyces NZ, we believe that every accessory tells a story, and I pour my heart into each piece. Our products are not just hair accessories; they are a reflection of resilience and creativity. The delicate floral patterns and soft materials are designed to enhance your look while caring for your hair. I hope that when you wear our scrunchies, you feel the love and effort that goes into making them.

Kia Ora, My name is Anna , a true testament to the human spirit! I am a vibrant individual, known for my infectious laugh and unwavering positivity, has not only battled cancer twice but emerged with a renewed appreciation for life. My journey is a contagious joy reminds us that even in the face of adversity, there's always reason to find light and laughter.

I am also a teacher  for twenty five years. Teaching is not just my job; it's my passion. I believe in the power of education to transform lives, and I'm committed to creating a classroom where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to explore their potential. 

I am a frustrated entrepreneur as well, ever since i was young i always take the opportunity to sell any products. Now that frustrated woman has come to reality of venturing into business with my sister in law Thei who is my business partner. 

Here at Keyces my role are: fabric cutter, scrunchies assembler, customer service, local delivery, packager and sales representative.
